I want to take one second and discuss how to read this website.
Obviously, the easiest way to stay up to date on this website is simply to visit the home page and see if there’s anything new.
This site is pretty spartan, but it has a few features designed to make it easier to read, like a large-ish default font size and support for dark mode, so hopefully that’s not a bad option.
Another good option is using an application known as an RSS reader or feed reader. This is Past Subject’s Atom feed. The way a feed reader works is, you can follow multiple websites and see updates to any of them in one place. It’s kind of like a social media feed, but you have complete control over what sites you follow, and they’re generally just presented in chronological order.
In my experience, feed readers work best for following multiple websites that aren’t updated frequently. What else is cool is how many sites you can follow this way: not just blogs and news sites, but things like Substacks and YouTube channels also work great in a feed reader.
If you’re interested, you just need to pick a news reading app and take it for a spin. On Apple platforms like the Mac and iPhone, I’m a huge fan of NetNewsWire. I’ve also used Feedly on Android and Windows and was happy with it, too.
